Saguaro National Park - Arizona, USA

Having seen the cactus garden in Joshua tree NP I was interested to see the famous big Saguaro cactea, often filmed in old Western movies. About 2 hours south of the big city of Phoenix lies the Saguaro National Park. It is split into the east and west section. Here I show some pictures of the wester part of the park, which gives you an almost complete view of the landscape. Driving through a very boring landscape from Phoenix to the south one could not imagine to approach such an interesting area with these impressive big Saguaros. It is recommended to one of the dirt road trails through the park. But please take into account that during summer times it gets very (!) hot in this area and the air could be very humid, too.
